This is not meant to be a beating, but rather a tool to give you some help in reading and understanding God’s word. If you miss a day, and can “catch up: by doubling up, then sweet. If you can’t read on certain days, adjust the schedule to fit your life. I think you will find the schedule pretty easy to maintain if you keep just a bit of discipline.

Monday: Esther 1 – 3
Esther 1 sets the stage by showing the foolish power of the king. Chapter 2 brings Esther to prominence. Esther 3 displays the hatred for Jews by Haman.
Tuesday: Esther 4 – 6
Esther 4 brings the plot of Haman to Esther and her plans to intercede. Chapter 5 brings Esther’s plan to the king. Chapter 6 expounds the problems as Haman honors Mordecai.
Wednesday: Esther 7 – 10
Chapter 7 brings Esther’s plan to a conclusion and Haman is executed. Chapter 8 sees Mordecai promoted and the Jews are set to defend themselves. Chapter 9 sees the Jews successfully defend themselves and celebrate the event with a feast. Chapter 10 concludes the story.
Thursday: Job 1 – 2
Chapter 1 sees the success and takedown of Job. Chapter 2 shows the wallowing of Job and the arrival of his friends.
Friday: Job 3 – 5
Chapter 3 begins the back and forth with Job’s lamenting. Job 4 & 5 shows Eliphaz as the 1st responder to Job.
Saturday: Job 6 – 8
Job 6 & 7 resumes Job’s defense against his friend’s accusations. Job 8 enters the second friend to defend God against Job.
Sunday: Job 9 – 11
Job 9 & 10 resume Job’s complaint. Job 11 brings rebuke from Zophar.
