Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
What We Do:
Our aim is to give children sound, Biblically-based teaching in ALL academic subjects.
How We Are Different:
We are an extended-year, bible-believing Christian school that is active in our community. Every quarter, ALL students have an opportunity to participate in service projects in our community. We believe this will prepare children to serve others as they become young adults.
Our goal is, with the help of parents, to train up students to have a Christ-like character and not be conformed to the world, a love for neighbors, and to be fully prepared for service to God.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
Extended Year:
Once the traditional school year is completed at the end of May, the extended year will begin in June. The academic focus will be reading, math, and science. Students will participate in fun group science projects, a summer reading program, math games, outdoor activities, and field trips. Vacation days are scheduled during the summer. The cost of the extended year is included in each student’s tuition fee.
Calvary Baptist Christian School believes extra time in a non-traditional classroom setting will help students perform better during the traditional school year. Math, reading, and science are the top 3 subjects the students fall behind in academically in the state of Illinois, and we want to see ALL our students succeed.
