This is not meant to be a beating, but rather a tool to give you some help in reading and understanding God’s word. If you miss a day, and can “catch up: by doubling up, then sweet. If you can’t read on certain days, adjust the schedule to fit your life. I think you will find the schedule pretty easy to maintain if you keep just a bit of discipline.

Monday: Psalm 12 – 14
Psalm 12 is a prayer to God for help and perseverance. Psalm 13 is a lament over isolation and praise of trust in God. Psalm 14 is a screed against the evil ones who do not follow God.
Tuesday: Psalm 15 – 17
Psalm 15 is a praise of the salvation of God. Psalm 16 praises God for His provision. Psalm 17 is a prayer for protection from God.
Wednesday: Psalm 18 – 20
Psalm 18 is praise of God for salvation and protection and provision. Psalm 19 is a praise of the work of God in creation. Psalm 20 is prayer of hope and declaration of the faithfulness of God.
Thursday: Psalm 21 – 23
Psalm 21 is a prayer to God for salvation and a praise of God’s sovereign rule. Psalm 22 is a lament of separation from God and a praise for God’s nearness and work. (Note: This is an oft-quoted Psalm in the New Testament and very descriptive of the work of Christ.) Psalm 23 is a praise of God as our shepherd.
Friday: Psalm 24 – 26
Psalm 24 is a declaration of the glory of God. Psalm 25 is a prayer of protection and provision. Psalm 26 is a prayer for God’s examination and mercy.
Saturday: Psalm 27 – 29
Psalm 27 is a declaration of the power and provision of God. Psalm 28 is a prayer for deliverance and a praise of God. Psalm 29 is a praise of God and His attributes as seen in the world.
Sunday: Psalm 30 – 33
Psalm 30 is a thanksgiving song for God’s action. Psalm 31 is a praise of God for His protection and grace. Psalm 32 is a description of the work of God. Psalm 33 is a praise to God for His works.
