Reading through the Bible Week 34

This is not meant to be a beating, but rather a tool to give you some help in reading and understanding God’s word.  If you miss a day, and can “catch up: by doubling up, then sweet.  If you can’t read on certain days, adjust the schedule to fit your life.  I think you will find the schedule pretty easy to maintain if you keep just a bit of discipline.

Summary:
Monday: Psalm 34 – 36
Psalm 34 is a declaration to praise God for His deliverance and care.  Psalm 35 is a prayer for rescue and protection against enemies.  Psalm 36 is a lament against sin and a praise for a merciful God.
Tuesday: Psalm 37 – 40
Psalm 37 is a reminder to trust in God.  Psalm 38 is a prayer for mercy in the face of sinfulness.  Psalm 39 is a statement of faith in the struggle against sin.  Psalm 40 is a reminder of the provision of God in light of hardship.
Wednesday: Psalm 41 – 43
Psalm 41 is a praise for God’s help and a lament over human unfaithfulness.  Psalm 42 is a cry for God to deliver.  Psalm 43 is a prayer for defense from God.
Thursday: Psalm 44 – 47
Psalm 44 is a recounting of the work of God and a plea for redemption.  Psalm 45 praises the king & his bride.  Psalm 46 is a praise for God’s protection over His people.  Psalm 47 is a declaration of the attributes of God as king of the Earth.
Friday: Psalm 48 – 50
Psalm 48 is a celebration of Jerusalem as God’s city.  Psalm 49 is a warning against idolatry of finances.  Psalm 50 is a description of God as judge.
Saturday: Psalm 51 – 54
Psalm 51 is a lament over sin and call for forgiveness.  Psalm 52 is a warning against evil boasting.  Psalm 53 is a warning against foolishness and sin.  Psalm 54 is a prayer for God’s deliverance.
Sunday:  Psalm 55 – 57
Psalm 55 is a prayer for God to destroy His enemies.  Psalm 56 is a prayer of trust in God and thanks for deliverance.  Psalm 57 is a prayer for God’s grace and protection.
